On making Seven Times Lucky:
"I haven't felt this way about a film since The Usual Suspects. The script just grabbed me by the chest. It's challenging, rewarding, heartfelt storytelling. And (director) Yates' artistic sense, the compositions he has in mind for every set up and every shot, is something I haven't experienced since Bryan Singer.
"Independent films are usually longer hours, harder work, less pay, a lot more intense and draining. In the case of Seven Times Lucky, as was the case with The Usual Suspects, it was the script that made everyone want to be a part of it."
